Frequently Asked Questions
How do I add a wine to my cellar?
Tap the + button on the Cellar tab. Search by wine name to find it in our database, or enter the details manually. Cellared fills in producer, region, and vintage information automatically.
What is the Cellared Ageability Index (CAI)?
The Cellared Ageability Index (CAI) is Cellared's drinking-window model, using up to ten scored inputs: tannin and structure, acidity, grape variety, price tier, region, alcohol balance, wine type, body and extract, storage condition, and bottle format. Missing inputs remain unscored rather than being replaced with a plausible default.
How does household sharing work?
You can invite household members from the Household settings screen. Members share the same cellar. Anyone can add, edit, or consume bottles. Each member keeps their own palate profile and tasting history.
Can I import from CellarTracker?
Cellared imports CellarTracker exports (old and new formats), Vivino exports, and generic CSV/XLSX files with column mapping. Import typically completes within a few minutes, in the app.
What does the Sommelier do?
The sommelier answers natural-language questions about your specific collection: "what should I open with lamb tonight?", "which bottles are peaking right now?", "what's my oldest Burgundy?". It only recommends bottles you actually own.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
You can cancel anytime through the App Store subscriptions screen. After cancellation, Pro access continues through the end of the paid period, and your cellar data is retained either way.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile -> Your Data -> Delete Account. If you no longer have app access, email support@cellared.ai from the email on your account or use the instructions at https://cellared.ai/delete-account. Account deletion completes within 30 days under GDPR/CCPA. We retain limited records only where required for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
