Migration Tool
Bring your CellarTracker collection with you
Three steps. Under three minutes. Your full inventory, your tasting notes, and a drinking window on every bottle.
Three steps
- 1
Export from CellarTracker
Sign in to cellartracker.com, open My Cellar, and choose Tools, then Export. Pick the CSV format. CellarTracker emails the file or lets you download it directly.
- 2
Upload your CSV to Cellared
Open Cellared on your iPhone. Go to Settings, Import, CellarTracker. Tap Choose File and select the CSV. Cellared previews the column mapping before you commit.
- 3
We match every bottle
Cellared looks up each row against our wine database, populates drinking windows, applies vintage modifiers, and flags duplicates. Anything we cannot match cleanly comes back to you for a one-tap confirmation. We never silently drop a bottle.
What gets imported
- ✓Producer, wine name, vintage, varietal
- ✓Bottle size, bin location, purchase date, purchase price
- ✓Your tasting notes, preserved verbatim
- ✓Quantity on hand, including consumed bottles
- ✓Region, appellation, country
What changes after import
- ✓Every bottle gets a drinking window calculated by the Cellared Ageability Index
- ✓Quick Pick and the sommelier work against your full collection from minute one
- ✓Household sharing turns on the moment you invite a partner
- ✓Food pairing matches against bottles you actually own
Heads up: bottles that do not match
Roughly 2 to 4 percent of CellarTracker exports include bottles with abbreviations or producer aliases that our matcher cannot resolve cleanly. Cellared shows you each unmatched row with the closest three matches and asks you to pick. If a wine is genuinely missing from our database we add a placeholder so the bottle lives in your cellar from minute one. You never lose a bottle in transit.
Frequently Asked
Is my CellarTracker data safe during the import?+
Yes. The CSV is uploaded over HTTPS, processed once, then deleted from our queue. We do not retain the source file. Your CellarTracker account is untouched.
Can I keep using CellarTracker after I import?+
Yes. Cellared imports a copy. Nothing is deleted on the CellarTracker side. Run both for a few weeks if you want to compare. Most collectors do not need to.
What if a bottle does not match your database?+
Cellared shows you the unmatched rows and asks you to confirm or correct each one. We surface the closest matches so you can pick with one tap. If the wine is genuinely missing from our database we add a placeholder so it lives in your cellar regardless.
Will my tasting notes come over?+
Yes. Every tasting note in your CellarTracker export is preserved verbatim and attached to the matching bottle in Cellared. Notes appear under the bottle in your cellar and feed your palate profile over time.
What about my CellarTracker subscription?+
That is between you and CellarTracker. Cellared does not touch your CT account. If you decide to stop paying CT, your data is already in Cellared and is yours to keep.
How long does the import take?+
Under three minutes for a typical 200-bottle cellar. The export from CellarTracker is the slow step. The actual upload and matching in Cellared usually completes in 20 to 40 seconds.
Can I import partial cellars or merge multiple exports?+
Yes. Run Import as many times as you need. Cellared deduplicates against your existing bottles. Useful if you keep separate CT views for offsite storage or a partner cellar.
