Less waitlisted Napa wine clubs (Caymus, Silver Oak, Frog's Leap, Stag's Leap Wine Cellars) accept new members continuously and ship 3-to-6 bottles quarterly. The economics: list-allocation pricing is typically 30 to 60 percent below the secondary auction market price for the same bottle, which is why allocations are valuable enough to wait years for.
